Founded in Champel in 2004 as a Primary School, École Mosaic was built on the key principle of providing children with a French-English bilingual and multicultural education.
Building on the excellent results of our Primary bilingual curriculum, our Middle School offers students a structured, demanding and internationally-oriented programme focusing on the reinforcement of bilingual language skills. The Middle School offers a bilingual education aligned with the local Plan d’Études Romand (PER), with enhanced English-language learning. Students as of age 12 follow a pathway that fosters cultural openness, self-confidence and long-term language mastery.
French is the anchor language of the curriculum, which includes enhanced English-language learning as well as German lessons, to ensure a balance between Swiss academic requirements and a resolutely global education.
Our programme corresponds to level R3 of the local Cycle d’orientation, which represents the highest academic expectations. Admission to our Middle School is based on specific criteria, including results obtained at the end of primary school, in order to guarantee academic quality and ensure a motivating, stimulating and favourable learning environment for all.
In addition, our Middle School places a strong emphasis on students’ social and emotional well-being. Students benefit from the guidance and care of key adults, including their homeroom teacher, our health and wellbeing coordinator and an adult dedicated to monitoring class transitions, accompanying students on outings or other outdoor activities.
By the end of the Middle School, students will be able to choose the educational pathway that best suits their future aspirations with confidence. Thanks to their solid bilingual and academic profile, they will be fully prepared to enter a Swiss bilingual Maturité, an IGCSE and A Level programme, or a French or International Baccalaureate.
