Sports & Physical Education

There are many benefits of sport at school. Sport helps to develop teamwork, social and leadership skills. It encourages healthy habits. It is great for pupils’ self esteem and overall mental health as it allows them to focus on fun. It also helps with concentration.

At Mosaic, we are firmly committed to providing every child, regardless of age or ability, with a rewarding physical education experience. Our goal is to promote their health, safety and well-being so they can reach their full potential. In a secure and stimulating environment, we help our students thrive through physical activities which are essential for their personal development. We firmly believe that physical education can transform the lives of our children.

Our programme offers two weekly sessions for children aged 2.5 to 12, encouraging everyone to engage in competitive sports and physically demanding activities. Competitions and sporting events build self-confidence and teach values such as fairness and respect. Each lesson aims to enrich students’ knowledge and skills, raise awareness of sport as a health benefit and encourage reflection.

Our curriculum develops :
– Each individual’s physical skills with control and coordination.
– Collaboration and group play.
– Respect for opponents, sporting rules and fair play.
– Pride and pleasure in effort and getting better.
– Creativity and imagination in artistic sports activities.

We offer activities linked to the curriculum and to sporting events such as sports days, the Escalade race and the Olympic Games. Students also participate in swimming lessons and sports workshops such as sailing, biathlon, hiking, snowshoeing and dog sledding, all supervised by professionals.
